Janine Perlman was admitted to practice in 1985 and signed the Bar Roll in 1987. As a barrister, Janine specializes in criminal law.

Janine Perlman was admitted to practice in 1985 and signed the Bar Roll in 1987. She was appointed a Sessional Member of VCAT in 1999, and sat in the Anti-Discrimination, Civil Claims, and Residential Tenancies Lists for ten years, until September 2009 when she moved to Boston, Massachusetts with her family. Janine returned to advocacy work in 2012, as solicitor-advocate with First Step Legal, a community legal service embedded within a mental health and addiction community health service. She returned to practice at the Bar in April 2017.
As a barrister, Janine specializes in criminal law.
Janine has appeared in criminal trials and contested hearings in the Supreme Court, County Court, and the Magistrates' and Coroner’s Courts. She accepts briefs for criminal matters in all jurisdictions.
