Nina practices in common law, including institutional liability, public liability, TAC and WorkCover. Nina also accepts briefs in intentional and novel torts, Sentencing Act applications, wills and estates (including guardianship and administration), disciplinary matters, coronial inquests, intervention orders, and Children’s Court matters.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Nina worked with plaintiffs at Angela Sdrinis Legal in historic child abuse cases and Sentencing Act applications. She also spent a year as Associate to Her Honour Judge Millane at the County Court in the civil division, and previously volunteered with a family violence duty lawyer service at the Sunshine Magistrates Court.
Before becoming a lawyer, Nina worked in community development in Australia and in South-East Asia, with a particular focus on projects promoting the rights of women and children. She was the Executive Director of Project Respect, a non-government organisation which works with women in the sex industry.
Nina is reading with Katharine Gladman and her senior mentor is Michelle Britbart KC.
